Weekend Food Program

Currently serving 6 schools in Midland ISD. Volunteers pack food bags full of nutrious items for children to have over the weekend.  During the school year, some children are unable to enjoy a meal away from school.  

400 children served weekly.

Volunteers purchase and provide cleaning supplies and home products for families who have residence at Buckner.  During the holidays, volunteers deliver toys, clothes and various seasonal items as well.  

In addition, volunteers have worked outside the facility helping with landscaping needs.

Midland Crisis Center

The Crisis Center provides clothes and food for the homeless in Midland.  Volunteers spend time sorting clothing items for men and women and organizing the food pantry.  In addition, volunteers purchase and donate clothes and food items for the center to distribute.

Habitat For Humanity


Volunteers participate in the Apostle Build in October.  The Apostle Build is a group of local churches partnering together to remodel and build homes for local families to live in.  Volunteers also provide household and cleaning items for new residents to have for move in day.

Midland Soup Kitchen

The Soup Kitchen has been feeding local homeless for several decades.  Volunteers help set up, cook, serve, clean and tear down.

Long Elementary is a great school with a small PTA team.  Volunteers take donations and purchase bicycles for the school to use for students with perfect attendance.  In addition, volunteers may offer time to read with students, help them with school work or social skills.

3 Trees Christmas Project

Taken from a children’s book, 3 Trees is a way for volunteers to collect, deliver toys, puzzles, scarfs, coats and gloves to families throughout Midland.  Christmas stockings are donated and stuffed with fun Christmas surprises for children.

Red Bag Days


One week a month, various items are needed for our many local partners.  Volunteers collect and deliver these items.  Items might include, food, clothes or supplies for the home. Often these are seasonal items that are needed.

Love Week

Every year during the month of February, volunteers spend a week blessing community leaders, city workers, businesses and neighbors, through simple acts of love and appreciation.

Backpacks, Uniforms and Shoes

Each year during the summer, volunteers collect and deliver new backpacks to our partner MISD schools.  Each backpack is filled with school supplies for the year. New uniforms for elementary schools are donated, collected and delivered before school begins.
